Job Description The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) team can provide you the opportunity to build and operate a suite of massive scale, integrated cloud services in a broadly distributed, multi-tenant cloud environment. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for design, build, test, deploy and operate highly scalable, distributed services for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure’s Cryptography division (Key Management & Secrets Service). You should capable of applying intermediate knowledge of software design and architecture, to build and operate highly secure and available distributed cloud services, according to provided design goals. You will build enhancements within an existing software architecture and suggest improvements to the architecture. You should also find yourself comfortable in a fast-paced, result-driven and collaborative environment to deliver customer values and mitigate production issues. Most meaningfully, you should be a team player, someone who is eager to learn, and willing to go above and beyond to help the team succeed. Career Level - IC3 Responsibilities As a Senior member of our engineering group, you will Design and develop new features or enhance existing functionality of Secrets services. Apply engineering principles for defining robust and maintainable, highly secure and available cloud service. Adopt the OCI standard tools and DevOps standards, and practices. Identify opportunities to improve security, scalability, and resiliency of products and services. Build highly complex enhancements and resolve complex problems. Collaborate broadly across multiple disciplines and organizations to deliver security solutions and features. Required Qualifications Large/enterprise scale software development and engineering experience, particularly with cloud services and distributed systems. Hands-on experience driving design, implementation and operation of cloud services Designing for security, availability, scalability, observability, testability, operability Experience collaborating with geo-distributed teams. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to all audiences. BS/CS Computer Science or equivalent field, and 3+ years software development experience in Java/C++ or similar OO language. Preferred Qualifications Hands-on experience developing and operating services on a public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Oracle) Building continuous integration/deployment pipelines with robust testing and deployment schedules Expertise in applying threat modeling or other risk identification techniques to develop security solutions Experience and understanding of Cryptography, DDoS, CVE, CIS, SAST, DAST, or similar security and compliance knowledge Qualifications Career Level - IC3 About Us As a world leader in cloud solutions, Oracle uses tomorrow’s technology to tackle today’s challenges.
