Job Description

We are looking for a "Social Safeguard Expert" in Gurugram, India at Deutsche Bahn Engineering Consulting. The Key Responsibilities are:

Supervise implementation of the Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) and track physical progress of resettlement and rehabilitation.
Verify disbursement of compensation/assistance and monitor the Land Acquisition Plan through notifications, awards, and handover.
Oversee Stakeholder Engagement Plan (SEP): consultations, disclosure, communication logs, and feedback integration.
Monitor Livelihood Restoration Plan (LRP): eligibility, entitlement delivery, skills training, and income restoration outcomes.
Finalize and monitor relocation sites with required services (water, sanitation, access, safety) in coordination with authorities and communities.
Monitor ESMP social measures, Gender Action Plan (GAP), and community health and safety actions during construction and operation.
Operate and report on the Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM), ensuring timely registration, resolution, and close-out of grievances.
Monitor labor standards per national law and ILO Core Conventions; inspect labor camps for living conditions, wages, sanitation, OHS, and documentation.
Conduct trainings/awareness on POSH, HIV/AIDS prevention, communicable diseases, worker rights, and community interface protocols.
Maintain social safeguard records and periodic reports; coordinate audits/lender reviews and drive corrective action close-outs.

Graduate in Social Sciences / Sociology / Social Work or Diploma in Social Sciences / Sociology / Social Work.
At least 10 years of Professional Experience. Profound experience in Metro Rail projects.
More than 3 years the General consultancy / General engineering consultancy / Project management consultancy / Independent engineers for project implementation authority for the Metro rail projects.
English knowledge is required; Knowledge of local language (Hindi) will add more value.
