Social Media Strategist

About the Role

We are seeking a creative and analytical Social Media Strategist to join our growing team in Kolkata. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing data-driven social media strategies that strengthen our brand presence, increase engagement, and drive audience growth across all major platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Strategy Development:

• Design and implement social media strategies aligned with business goals.
• Conduct competitive research and audience analysis to identify trends and opportunities.

2) Content Planning & Collaboration:

• Work closely with content creators, designers, and marketing teams to develop cohesive campaigns.
• Create and manage monthly content calendars tailored to each platform (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter, etc.).

3) Execution & Channel Management:

• Publish and monitor content across platforms.
• Manage paid campaigns, influencer collaborations, and real-time engagement.

4) Performance Tracking & Reporting:

• Monitor KPIs (engagement, reach, conversions, growth).
• Prepare weekly/monthly reports with actionable insights.
• Use analytics to constantly optimize performance.

5) Community Building:

• Engage actively with followers and respond to queries/comments.
• Build strong online communities and brand advocates.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
• Experience in social media strategy and management. We are looking for a Senior strategist (3-5 years of experience) and a Junior Strategist (1-2 years of experience).
• Strong understanding of platform-specific best practices and algorithms.
• Proficiency in tools like Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, Buffer, Canva, Google Analytics, etc.
• Ability to write engaging copy and guide visual storytelling.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Up-to-date with the latest trends, platform updates, and digital tools.

Bonus Points For:

• Experience in media, journalism, or news-driven content
• Proficiency in verbal as well as written Hindi. 
• Experience with performance marketing or SEO integration
