Social Media Manager - Sports
About The Opportunity
A fast-growing player in the Sports Media & Fan Engagement sector, we create high-impact digital experiences that connect sports fans to live events, athletes, and brands. The role sits at the intersection of content, community, and commercial activation—focused on growing audience, engagement, and revenue across social platforms. This is an on-site role based in India, ideal for an experienced social lead with a passion for sports and high-energy content.Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute an integrated social media strategy for sports properties: editorial calendar, content pillars, platform-specific tactics, and growth targets.
- Plan and produce high-performing content (video-first short-form, clips, carousels, stories) optimized for Instagram, X, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok.
- Own community management and real-time match-day/social live coverage—respond to fans, moderate conversations, and scale engagement with timely creative.
- Drive audience growth and monetisation: collaborate on influencer/creator partnerships, branded content, and sponsored activations to meet campaign KPIs.
- Measure performance with data-driven insights: track KPIs (engagement, reach, CTR, growth), run A/B tests, and refine tactics to improve ROI.
- Coordinate with production, design, and commercial teams to ensure on-brand creative, smooth delivery, and compliant use of assets/rights.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- 3+ years managing social channels with demonstrable results in audience growth and engagement—preferably in sports, entertainment, or media.
- Proven track record producing video-first and short-form content (Reels/Shorts/TikTok); hands-on with basic editing and content repurposing workflows.
- Strong copywriting, community management skills and familiarity with platform analytics (native insights, Google Analytics or equivalent).
Preferred
- Experience executing live match-day coverage, influencer partnerships, or sponsorship activations in a sports context.
- Comfort with scheduling/management tools (Hootsuite, Sprout, Meta Business Suite) and basic paid social campaign knowledge.
- Degree or background in marketing, communications, journalism, or sports management is a plus.
