Role Overview

Social Media Analyst

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor performance across all social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, X, Snapchat, Tiktok).
  • Build weekly, monthly, and campaign-specific performance reports.
  • Develop dashboards for engagement, reach, sentiment, audience behavior, and conversion metrics.
  • Conduct competitor benchmarking and market trend analysis.
  • Perform social listening to track sentiment, conversations, and brand perception.
  • Evaluate the success of content types, posting times, and formats using A/B testing.
  • Provide insights to the content, creative, paid media, and strategy teams to optimize campaigns.
  • Identify patterns, growth opportunities, and platform-specific algorithmic shifts.
  • Present insights directly to internal teams and clients in a clear, data-backed manner.
  • Stay updated on latest social media analytics tools, trends, and best practices.

Skills & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Data Analytics, Business, or related field.
  • 2–4 years

    of experience in social media analytics or digital marketing roles.
  • Strong knowledge of native platform analytics (Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn Analytics, YouTube Studio, X Analytics, TikTok Insights).
  • Experience with tools like

    Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Data Studio, Tableau

    , or similar.
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, data visualisation, formulas).
  • Ability to analyze large datasets and turn them into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Understanding of paid social metrics is a plus.
  • Highly detail-oriented, curious, and proactive.
