Job Description – Site/Service Engineer (PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana) Company: Shri Badrinath Vaikalpik Urja Ltd. Location: Project Sites: Dehradun, Haridwar, Haldwani, Saharanpur, Kotdwar, Muzaffarnagar Reporting To: Project Manager / Operations Manager OBJECTIVE To manage the installation, commissioning, inspection, and handover of solar power plants under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijlee Yojana. The engineer will supervise third-party installers/vendors, handle vendor identification, negotiation, billing, and payment processing. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.      A. Installation & Site Execution Plan and schedule installation activities as per order form. Supervise dispatch, delivery, and receipt of materials at the site. Ensure quality, safety, and proper alignment during installation.  Inspect AC/DC wiring, earthing, lightning arrestor, inverter connectivity, etc. Prepare and hand over commissioning reports and customer documentation. 2.      B. Vendor Management & Coordination  Identify, shortlist & evaluate technical capability of new installation vendors/installers.  Negotiate installation rates and obtain management approval. Monitor vendor progress, prepare completion reports and process vendor bills for payment. Maintain quality inspection checklist (modules, inverters, connections, etc.). 3.      C. Metering, Inspection & Handover Coordinate with DISCOM for net-meter installation. Conduct JIR (Joint Inspection Report) with DISCOM officials. 4.      D. Documentation & Reporting Maintain daily site/installation reports, photo logs customer/SM wise. Submit installation completion certificates and net metering files to DISCOM. Share weekly progress reports with the OM/head office. QUALIFICATIONS: • Diploma / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, or Renewable Energy. • 1–3 years of experience in solar installation or vendor management. • Experience with PM Surya Ghar, KUSUM, or state DISCOM projects preferred. • Knowledge of local language and DISCOM procedures is desirable. • Good command over MS Excel, Email, and reporting tools.
