1. Job Description – Site Supervisor/Site engineer/Foreman

(Windmill Erection – Equipment Rental)

Location: Wind Farm Project Sites – Gujarat / Karnataka
Industry: Urmilla enterprises (Wind)

Role Purpose

To supervise daily site activities related to rented equipment used in windmill erection, ensuring safe operations, high equipment availability, and coordination with client erection teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise deployment and operation of heavy cranes (crawler, lattice boom, telescopic), hydra cranes, trailers, and access platforms for WTG erection
• Coordinate with client erection managers, OEM teams (Vestas, Siemens Gamesa, GE, Suzlon, etc.)
• Ensure safe lifting practices as per approved Lift Plans, Method Statements, and OEM guidelines
• Monitor crane assembly, commissioning, climbing, and dismantling activities
• Ensure availability of riggers, signalmen, and operators
• Track equipment working hours, downtime, and idle time
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and emergency breakdowns
• Ensure strict compliance with HSE requirements, PPE usage, and toolbox talks
• Maintain daily site logs and obtain client sign-offs
• Coordinate mobilization/demobilization of equipment between wind turbine locations

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma / ITI / B.E. in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
• 5+ years experience in windmill erection projects
• Hands-on exposure to heavy lift crane operations
• Knowledge of wind turbine erection sequences
• Fluent in local language (Gujarati/Kannada is an advantage) with Hindi/English

2. Job Description – Site Engineer

(Windmill Erection – Urmilla enterprises)

Location: Wind Farm Project Sites – Gujarat / Karnataka
Industry: Urmilla Enterprises

Role Purpose

To manage technical planning, execution, and documentation of rented equipment for wind turbine erection projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan equipment selection and deployment for foundation, tower, nacelle, and blade erection
• Coordinate with OEM erection teams and EPC contractors
• Review and implement approved lifting plans, crane charts, and risk assessments
• Monitor crane utilization, productivity, and compliance
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly equipment performance reports
• Ensure compliance with statutory norms, load test certificates, and crane documentation
• Support billing by validating working hours and milestone completion
• Coordinate inspections, audits, and safety reviews
• Assist in planning crane walking, climbing, and relocation

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
• 6–10 years experience in windmill erection or wind EPC projects
• Strong understanding of heavy lifting and crane engineering
• Proficient in MS Excel, reports, and documentation

3. Job Description – Foreman

(Windmill Erection – Urmilla Enterprises)

Location: Wind Farm Project Sites – Gujarat / Karnataka
Industry: Urmilla Enterprises (Wind Projects)

Role Purpose

To manage operators, riggers, and ground crews involved in crane and equipment operations during wind turbine erection.

Key Responsibilities

• Allocate cranes, hydra, and manpower as per erection schedule
• Supervise crane operators, riggers, and helpers
• Ensure correct slinging, rigging, and signaling practices
• Enforce adherence to lift plans and safety procedures
• Monitor fuel usage, working hours, and equipment condition
• Coordinate minor repairs and servicing at site
• Ensure site discipline and compliance with HSE rules
• Report daily progress and issues to Site Supervisor / Engineer

Qualifications & Experience

• ITI / Diploma (Mechanical preferred)
• 8–12 years experience in windmill erection projects
• Strong practical knowledge of crane operations & rigging
• Ability to manage multi-location wind turbine sites

Mandatory Skills (All Roles)

• Wind turbine erection sequence knowledge
• Heavy lift crane operations (400T – 1600T preferred)
• Lift planning & safety compliance
• Working in remote wind farm locations
• Strong coordination with OEM & EPC teams

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Chennai, Tamil Nadu
