Job Title: Site Engineer – Industrial Civil Construction

Location: Gadchiroli, Maharashtra

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Civil Site Engineer to manage execution of industrial civil works inside Integrated Steel Plants, Grinding/Crushing Units, Beneficiation Plants, Conveyor Systems, and Heavy-Structure Zones.
The engineer will handle end-to-end construction of plinths, foundations, pedestals, retaining walls, equipment foundations, cable trenches, drainage systems, earthworks, and structural supporting civil works.

This role requires strong technical understanding of high-load foundations, heavy machinery installation clearances, industrial safety norms, reinforced concrete detailing, and geotechnical considerations. The engineer will be responsible for quality, progress, safety, and coordination with clients, consultants, and mechanical/electrical teams.

Key Responsibilities (Compact – Point by Point)

• Interpret GFC, structural, foundation, and GA drawings and plan daily/weekly site activities.
• Conduct surveying, setting-out, leveling, and marking using Auto Level/Total Station.
• Execute earthworks: excavation in soil/rock, backfilling, compaction (Proctor, FDD tests), and subgrade preparation.
• Construct plinths, PCC beds, pedestals, retaining walls, approach ramps, and platforms.
• Execute heavy machine foundations for crushers, grinding mills, conveyors, screens, pumps, transformers, and other industrial equipment.
• Manage rebar fixing, shuttering, centering, anchoring bolts, inserts, sleeves, and maintain correct cover & lap lengths.
• Oversee RCC works using high-grade concrete (M25–M40+), conduct slump tests, cube casting, curing, and concrete quality checks.
• Coordinate equipment foundation alignment with mechanical and E&I teams; ensure embedment accuracy.
• Execute civil works inside integrated steel plants (blast furnace zones, SMS, sinter plant, raw material handling areas).
• Manage civil execution for crushing/grinding units: hopper foundations, surge bins, crusher bases, screen foundations.
• Execute civil works in beneficiation plants: thickeners, slurry tanks, pipe rack foundations, pump houses, retaining walls.
• Handle dewatering operations, sump creation, and water management in wet/slurry-prone areas.
• Build stormwater drains, culverts, cable trenches, utility trenches, and internal roads within plant premises.
• Monitor QA/QC: reinforcement checks, level checks, concrete testing, welding quality of embedded parts, grouting works.
• Prepare Daily Progress Reports, material consumption logs, inspection records, and maintain project documentation.
• Manage contractors, labor allocation, machinery utilization, and ensure timely execution as per BOQ/specifications.
• Follow IS codes, BIS standards, project QAPs, and client specifications for all civil works.
• Ensure strict compliance with industrial safety norms, PTW (Permit to Work) systems, PPE usage, and conduct toolbox talks.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, PMC, and mechanical/piping/electrical teams to resolve on-site technical issues and clashes.
• Forecast material requirements (cement, steel, shuttering, aggregates, admixtures) and ensure timely procurement.

Required Qualifications

• B.E / B.Tech in Civil Engineering – mandatory.
• 4 to 8 years of experience in industrial civil construction.

• OR other heavy-industrial projects
• Should have led foundation and plinth works independently.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
