Role Description

Site Engineer (Erection & Commissioning)

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise

  erection, installation, and commissioning

  of Steamax products at customer sites
• Manage and guide the on-site team, including fitters, welders, electricians, and helpers
• Coordinate with the project team to ensure smooth execution of site activities as per the schedule
• Conduct

  material inspection

  before dispatch from the factory to ensure quality compliance
• Verify site readiness and resolve on-ground issues before erection begins
• Ensure all site activities are carried out in compliance with

  safety norms and SOPs

• Maintain daily work progress reports and update the project team regularly
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and customers to ensure timely completion of work
• Assist in conducting performance trials and resolving commissioning issues
• Maintain documentation of installation and commissioning reports for project closure

Qualifications

• Diploma / Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field

• 1–5 years

  of experience in erection/commissioning of industrial equipment (preferably boilers, bag filters, or fuel handling systems)
• Strong understanding of mechanical erection practices, alignment, welding, and electrical connections
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and P&IDs
• Experience in managing and coordinating site manpower
• Basic knowledge of safety procedures for industrial erection sites
• Willingness to travel extensively across India for project work
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines
