Job Description

A Shift Manager in a QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) is responsible for running the restaurant efficiently during their shift — managing staff, maintaining service quality, ensuring food safety, and meeting sales and customer satisfaction goals.

You act as the bridge between the crew and higher management (Restaurant Manager or Area Manager).

Key Responsibilities1. Operations Management

  • Oversee restaurant operations during assigned shifts.
  • Ensure food preparation, quality, and presentation meet brand standards.
  • Maintain restaurant cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards.
  • Monitor drive-thru and dine-in service times to meet QSR speed goals.

2. People Management

  • Supervise and motivate team members (kitchen, front counter, drive-thru).
  • Conduct briefings before shifts to assign duties and targets.
  • Train and coach staff on service standards and procedures.
  • Handle minor HR issues (attendance, behavior, discipline) during the shift.

3. Customer Service

  • Resolve customer complaints quickly and professionally.
  • Ensure positive guest experience and service recovery when needed.
  • Maintain a friendly, welcoming atmosphere at all times.

4. Financial & Inventory Control

  • Manage cash drawers, reconcile shift sales, and ensure deposits match.
  • Track daily inventory, control wastage, and report variances.
  • Help achieve sales, cost, and profit targets.

5. Reporting & Handover

  • Complete daily/shift reports (sales, labor, waste, issues).
  • Ensure smooth handover to the next shift manager.

Qualifications

  • Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred: Diploma or degree in Hospitality, Food Service, or Business Management.
  • Experience: 1–3 years in QSR operations (KFC, McDonald’s, Domino’s, Subway, Burger King, etc.).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
