Shift Manager

Job Summary:

The Shift Manager oversees daily operations during assigned shifts to ensure smooth functioning, excellent customer service, and achievement of operational targets. This role involves supervising team members, managing workflows, resolving issues, and maintaining quality, safety, and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff during the assigned shift.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through efficient service and quality control.
• Manage shift schedules, assign tasks, and ensure adequate staffing.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
• Oversee cash handling, inventory management, and daily reporting.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and operational standards.
• Train, motivate, and support team members to achieve performance goals.
• Conduct shift handovers and communicate key updates to management and incoming staff.
• Monitor equipment and facility conditions; report maintenance needs.
• Support the Store/Operations Manager in achieving sales, productivity, and efficiency targets.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in a supervisory or team lead role (industry-specific experience a plus).
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
• Basic understanding of financial and inventory management.
• Proficiency with POS systems or relevant operational software.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
