Job Description

Objective Responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the insurance broking and GLC (Government-Linked Companies) operations Drive the performance of the Section and contribute to the overall success of the organization Ensure compliance with industry regulations Identify market trends, opportunities, and potential risks to formulate strategies that enhance the department's competitive position Build and lead a high-performing team Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with intermediaries and key clients Responsibilities Assist in planning, execute the plan and monitor the progress/achievement of budget (expenses & production target) and marketing strategies which includes: Allocation of targets to team member Review monthly performance to ensure achieve set targets and growth of business based on the planned strategy, otherwise to formulate a back-up plan Plan self-visitation schedules to ensure adequate and impactful engagement/support with/to and within allocated budgeted expenses Coordinate in the implementation of marketing strategies with all branches and business units Identify and develop strategic business opportunities and reciprocal partnership Formulate, execute and evaluate marketing activities/campaign Regular meetings with internal stakeholders (eg: UW) to ensure targeting listing/state-owned GLCs are being managed on a timely manner with the objective to secure production/renewal/retention Manage sales support team to provide various support to marketing to ensure efficient delivery/ service to brokers/clients Formulate and execute supporting actions to marketing team on their renewals Requirements Bachelor Degree in any relevant field Insurance related professional accreditation i.e., AMII is preferred Minimum 8 years working experience in General Insurance industry, with min 5 years’ in supervisory role. Strong analytical skills and knowledge to insurance industry Proven track record in delivering profitability and sales targets Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills High level of problem solving and strategic thinking skills Strong leadership skills Good communication and presentation skills Good in managing pressure and timelines Show more Show less
