Service Manager

Job Summary:

The QA / Testing Manager is responsible for leading the quality assurance function across all software projects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and scalable products. This role involves managing a team of QA engineers, defining testing strategies, implementing automation frameworks, and collaborating with development and product teams to maintain the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and manage the QA/testing team, including hiring, training, and performance reviews.
  
• Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies, plans, and processes for all phases of the SDLC.
  
• Oversee both

  manual and automated testing

  for web, mobile, and API-based applications.
• Ensure proper test coverage through functional, regression, performance, security, and usability testing.
  
• Collaborate closely with development, DevOps, and product management teams to ensure quality from design to delivery.
  
• Define and track key

  QA metrics

  (e.g., defect density, test coverage, test execution rate).
• Evaluate and implement testing tools, automation frameworks, and CI/CD integration.
  
• Drive continuous improvement in QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
  
• Manage risk and communicate quality issues and test progress to stakeholders.
  
• Ensure compliance with company standards, industry regulations, and best practices.
  

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  
• 7+ years of experience in software testing and QA, including at least 2–3 years in a managerial or lead role.
  
• Strong understanding of

  SDLC, STLC, Agile, and DevOps

  practices.
• Experience with testing tools like

  Selenium, JIRA, TestRail, Postman, JMeter, Cypress, or Playwright

  .
• Proven expertise in test automation and continuous integration.
  
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  
• Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  
• Knowledge of API testing and scripting (Python, Java, or JavaScript).
  
• Familiarity with performance and security testing tools.
  
• ISTQB or other relevant QA certifications
