Service Manager

Staff management and development

• Hire, train, and supervise service technicians, advisors, and support staff.
• Schedule and assign work duties based on staff skills and availability.
• Set performance goals for the team and monitor productivity.
• Provide or arrange for technical training and ensure team morale and retention.

Customer relations

• Oversee daily customer interactions and ensure high levels of satisfaction.
• Address customer complaints and concerns promptly and effectively.
• Educate customers on vehicle maintenance and service recommendations.
• Build relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business.

Operations and efficiency

• Manage the daily workflow of the service department to optimize efficiency.
• Ensure high-quality repairs and minimize "comebacks".
• Conduct periodic spot checks on completed work.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment, adhering to safety policies and regulations.

Financial and administrative management

• Oversee the department budget and implement cost-control measures.
• Track service revenue and other financial metrics, prepare performance reports.
• Manage parts and supplies inventory, including ordering and supplier relationships.
• Maintain accurate and complete service and warranty records
