Service Manager

Key responsibilities Team leadership: Manage and guide a team of service staff, including hiring, training, performance reviews, and coaching.  Customer relations: Act as the link between the company and clients, ensuring client needs are met and building strong, lasting relationships.  Operational oversight: Develop and implement service standards, procedures, and policies to ensure quality service delivery.  Problem-solving: Handle complex customer complaints and develop strategies to improve service processes and reduce recurring issues.  Financial management: Manage the budget for the service department and maintain accountability for its financial aspects.  Performance monitoring: Track and monitor key metrics like response time and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and report on department activities to senior management.  Strategic planning: Create and execute plans to meet service priorities and customer satisfaction goals.  Leadership and management skills: The ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively.  Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with customers and staff.  Problem-solving skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to handle complex issues and improve processes.  Customer service skills: A strong focus on customer satisfaction and the ability to build rapport.  Technical skills: Proficiency in computer literacy, organizational skills, and often, specific knowledge of the industry and its tools.  Education: A bachelor's degree in business or a related field is often required, though relevant experience can be a substitute.
