1. Microsoft Learn completion for: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate or equivalent certification

Certifications Preferred:

• Familiarity with configurationmanagement tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet) • Knowledge of security best practices, vulnerability management, and compliance frameworks (e.g., CIS, NIST) • Exposure to containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Install, configure and maintain virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware vSphere/ESXi, vCenter, Microsoft Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV or KVM) • Provision, monitor and decommission virtual machines in accordance with capacity plans and business requests • Perform platform upgrades and patches on hypervisors, management servers and tools • Plan for and implement high availability, clustering, load-balancing and capacity expansion • Develop and validate disaster-recovery and failover procedures, and perform regular DR tests • Integrate virtualization with SAN/NAS storage solutions (iSCSI, Fibre Channel, NFS) and software-defined storage technologies • Collaborate with network engineers to configure virtual switches, VLANs, VXLANs, and security zoning • Automate routine tasks (provisioning, monitoring, reporting, patching) using PowerShell, Python or other scripting tools • Monitor performance, capacity utilization, and resource contention, and proactively recommend tuning or additions • Manage and test backup and restore processes for virtual machines (Veeam, Commvault, NetBackup, etc.) • Implement security hardening standards, access controls, and audit logging for virtual infrastructure • Troubleshoot hardware, OS and application issues in the virtual environment, liaising with server and application teams
• Maintain up-to-date architecture and support documentation, runbooks and change records • Stay current on virtualization industry trends, tools and best practices; propose upgrades or new solutions
