Server Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Server Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team. The ideal candidate should have a solid foundation in server administration, troubleshooting, and basic networking, with a passion for learning and growing in enterprise IT environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows and/or Linux servers.
• Monitor server performance, availability, and security.
• Perform routine system checks, backups, and preventive maintenance.
• Assist in patch management and system updates.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
• Collaborate with the IT team on deployments, migrations, and upgrades.
• Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, incidents, and procedures.

Required Skills

• Minimum 6 months of hands-on experience in server administration or IT support.
• Basic knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux operating systems.
• Understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and file/print services.
• Familiarity with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware, OS, and network issues.
• Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• IT certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, RHCSA, or equivalent.
• Experience with server monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, PRTG).
• Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹24,000.00 per month
