About the Role

SEO Intern

Key Responsibilities

1. On-Page SEO

• Keyword research & clustering
• Optimising meta titles, descriptions, headers, and URLs
• Updating on-page content for better readability & SEO scores
• Performing SEO audits using tools like Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush, or similar
• Checking internal linking, image alt-text, and site structure

2. Off-Page SEO

• Backlink research and outreach
• Managing directory submissions, guest posts, and link-building tasks
• Tracking backlinks and monitoring spam score

3. Content Support

• Assisting in writing SEO-friendly blogs, website content, and landing page copy
• Creating outlines, keyword maps, and topic research
• Using AI tools (ChatGPT) responsibly to generate ideas and improve content quality

4. Reporting & Analysis

• Monitoring keyword rankings and traffic metrics
• Preparing weekly SEO reports
• Competitor analysis and insights

5. Coordination & Communication

• Coordinating with designers, content teams, and marketing managers
• Presenting findings, suggestions, and performance updates
• Maintaining documentation for SEO tasks and workflow
  

Required Skills

• Strong English communication (written & verbal)
• Presentable and confident in client-facing or internal discussions
• Basic understanding of SEO practices
• Familiarity with Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and keyword tools
• Good research skills
• Detail-oriented and organised
  

Good to Have

• Basic knowledge of WordPress or any CMS
• Content writing or copywriting experience
• Understanding of social media basics
• Canva or design tool knowledge
• Ability to ideate content angles for SEO blogs
• Basic HTML tags understanding (H1, H2, bold, alt-text, linking etc.)
