Senior Vision AI

As a Senior Vision AI Engineer at RIOD, you will design and deploy intelligent vision systems for industrial, energy, and smart-infrastructure applications. You’ll work on projects involving object detection, visual inspection, OCR/QR recognition, and Vision+IoT fusion, using edge devices such as NVIDIA Jetson, Advantech ICAM, and STM-based smart cameras.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, train, and optimize computer vision models for real-time deployment on edge and cloud.
• Develop pipelines for image/video acquisition, preprocessing, inference, and data annotation.
• Implement algorithms for detection, segmentation, OCR, and tracking (YOLO, Detectron2, OpenCV, TensorRT).
• Integrate vision models into embedded systems or IoT gateways using MQTT/HTTP/REST.
• Work closely with firmware and cloud teams to build end-to-end edge-to-cloud solutions.
• Conduct model performance analysis — latency, accuracy, FPS, and memory optimization.
• Develop and maintain reusable tools for dataset creation, training, and model evaluation.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to select suitable sensors, optics, and lighting.
• Prepare deployment documentation, technical reports, and contribute to product demos.

Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python, OpenCV, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and ONNX/TensorRT.
• Experience in model compression, quantization, and deployment on Jetson, Orin, Coral TPU, or ARM devices.
• Strong understanding of image processing, classical CV algorithms, and deep learning architectures (CNNs, YOLOv8, EfficientDet, UNet, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with real-time inference pipelines, GStreamer, RTSP, or video streaming frameworks.
• Familiarity with Docker, Linux, Git, and MLOps workflows.
• Knowledge of hardware integration, including camera modules (MIPI, USB, IP), sensor calibration, and lighting design.
• Experience with Vision + IoT systems (e.g., Vision node → Cloud Dashboard).
• Understanding of Edge AI frameworks such as DeepStream, Triton, or OpenVINO.
• Exposure to RAG-based analytics or multimodal AI (Vision + LLM).
• Prior work on industrial automation, energy monitoring, or manufacturing AI applications.
