Senior Travel Consultant

ROLE SUMMARY

The Travel Sales Executive is responsible for handling travel enquiries and converting them into confirmed bookings. The role requires experience in short-haul and long-haul destinations, strong communication skills, accurate costing, and smooth coordination with the Operations team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales and Customer Interaction

• Handle inbound and outbound travel enquiries
• Understand customer requirements, budget, and travel preferences
• Sell customized holiday packages (domestic and international)
• Advise customers on destinations, hotels, flights, visas, and travel seasons
• Follow up with clients to close bookings

Destination and Product Knowledge

• Handle short-haul and long-haul destinations confidently
• Suggest suitable itineraries based on customer needs
• Provide correct information on inclusions, exclusions, and policies

Booking and Costing

• Prepare accurate quotations and itineraries
• Ensure correct costing and margins as per company policy
• Confirm bookings after customer approval
• Collect required documents and payments

Sales to Operations Handover

• Handover confirmed bookings to Operations within defined timelines
• Share complete booking details, special requests, and payment status
• Participate in joint calls with Operations and customers when required

CRM and Reporting

• Update all leads, follow-ups, and bookings in CRM
• Maintain proper records and communication logs
• Achieve monthly sales targets

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Good knowledge of short-haul and long-haul destinations
• Commercial understanding of travel pricing and margins

• Attention to detail

Qualifications

• Graduate or Diploma in Travel and Tourism preferred
• 1–4 years of experience in travel sales (holidays)
