Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned

Senior Software Engineer

with strong expertise in

Java/J2EE

and

Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

. The role involves the development and optimization of microservices, cloud-native applications, and robust backend systems using modern cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will have a solid track record in building scalable applications and cloud solutions using CI/CD, Docker, and PostgreSQL.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop REST-based microservices using Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Java.
• Work on full-stack applications, including frontend components built with JavaScript, Angular, or React.
• Utilize containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Develop in cloud environments, primarily Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and optionally Azure.
• Build CI/CD pipelines using tools like Tekton, Jenkins, GitHub, and Gradle.
• Work with relational databases like PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Teradata, and big data tools like BigQuery.
• Implement and optimize cloud infrastructure using tools such as Terraform.
• Embrace and promote Test-Driven Development (TDD), clean coding practices, and Agile methodologies.
• Collaborate in paired or mob programming sessions and contribute to a lean, MVP-focused development cycle.
  

Must-Have Skills

• Java / J2EE (5+ years)
• GCP (2+ years hands-on experience)
• Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Cloud
• PostgreSQL and SQL data manipulation
• Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration
• CI/CD tools: GitHub, Tekton, Jenkins
• Experience with REST APIs, microservices architecture
  

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Angular / React / JavaScript
• Experience with Kafka and MQTT
• Exposure to big data tools and cloud optimization
• Familiarity with Clean Code, XP practices, and software craftsmanship
  

Experience Required

• 5 to 7 years of experience in software engineering, preferably with strong backend and cloud exposure
  

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Master’s degree (Preferred)
