About The Role
We are seeking a Senior C# Software Engineer to join our team and take ownership of a long-standing codebase that has been actively developed since 2019. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain robust software solutions using C# and .NET, with a focus on communication interfaces and WebSockets. You will play a key role in modernizing and optimizing existing systems while ensuring reliability and scalability.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, refactor, and extend an established C#/.NET codebase developed.
- Design, implement, and optimize communication interfaces (including WebSockets) for reliable real-time data transfer.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software solutions with hardware and external systems.
- Identify technical debt and implement improvements to enhance code quality, performance, and maintainability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues across the stack.
- Contribute to architectural decisions.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering with strong proficiency in C# and .NET.
- Proven experience implementing and maintaining communication interfaces, including WebSockets.
- Strong understanding of software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
- Experience maintaining and evolving legacy codebases while introducing improvements.
- Solid debugging and performance optimization skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Proven ability to leverage AI-assisted tools (for coding, debugging, and technical research) as part of the development workflow.
Nice to Have
- Experience with distributed systems or real-time applications.
- Familiarity with modern .NET (Core/5/6/7+) migration strategies.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), or cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
- Experience mentoring junior developers and leading technical discussions.
