Senior Site Engineer

Key Responsibilities1. Site Supervision

• Supervise erection of steel components like columns, rafters, purlins, girts, sheeting, etc.
• Monitor daily activities to ensure quality and compliance with drawings.
• Ensure that erection sequences and lifting plans are followed.

2. Drawing & Specification Interpretation

• Read and interpret structural drawings, GA (General Arrangement) drawings, and erection plans.
• Guide erection teams as per layout, levels, bolt settings, and alignments.

3. Material Handling

• Receive and inspect materials like fabricated steel members, bolts, and roofing sheets.
• Ensure correct and safe unloading, stacking, and storage of materials at the site.

4. Quality Control

• Check alignments, bolt tightening (torquing), welding (if any), and connections.
• Conduct visual inspections and basic quality checks during and after erection.
• Coordinate with QA/QC engineers for formal inspections.

5. Safety Compliance

• Ensure implementation of site safety protocols (PPE, working at height, rigging safety, etc.).
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings to workers.
• Report and manage any safety incidents.

6. Manpower & Work Planning

• Coordinate and manage subcontractors and erection teams.
• Plan daily work targets and track progress.
• Prepare and submit daily progress reports.

7. Coordination with Stakeholders

• Coordinate with the project manager, design team, and fabrication team for any site discrepancies.
• Raise RFIs (Requests for Information) for design/site clarifications.
• Participate in site meetings and reporting.

8. Documentation

• Maintain site records: material receipts, test reports, inspection logs.
• Assist in preparing as-built drawings and final handover documentation.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
