Job Description

The Senior Site Civil Engineer will lead and oversee civil engineering activities on-site, ensuring that all construction works are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with technical specifications, project timelines, and quality standards. The individual will provide technical leadership, coordinate with contractors/consultants, resolve site issues, and ensure the successful delivery of civil works packages.

Key Responsibilities1. Project Execution & Site Management

  • Supervise and manage day-to-day civil engineering operations at the project site.
  • Review and implement construction drawings, method statements, and technical specifications.
  • Ensure timely progress of civil works in alignment with project schedules and milestones.
  • Monitor workmanship to maintain quality and compliance with project standards.

2. Technical Coordination

  • Provide technical guidance to site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate with design consultants to resolve technical queries (RFIs), discrepancies, and design issues.
  • Review shop drawings, material submittals, and construction methodologies.

3. Quality Assurance & Control

  • Ensure implementation of QA/QC procedures and conduct routine inspections.
  • Verify and approve work completion for inspections, tests, and handover documentation.
  • Ensure materials and works comply with industry standards and project specifications.

4. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Compliance

  • Enforce site safety procedures and promote a strong safety culture.
  • Conduct toolbox talks, safety inspections, and risk assessments.
  • Coordinate with the HSE team to ensure all activities align with local regulations.

5. Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare daily/weekly progress reports, quality reports, and site logs.
  • Track resource usage (materials, manpower, equipment) and flag deviations.
  • Support in preparing claims, variations, and as-built documentation.

6. Stakeholder Coordination

  • Liaise with client representatives, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Attend site meetings, present updates, and address technical or contractual issues.
  • Ensure smooth communication between office and site teams.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (structural, geotechnical, transportation preferred).
  • 8–12 years of relevant experience in civil construction/project execution.
  • Strong understanding of engineering codes, standards, and construction methodologies.
  • Proficient in civil engineering software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD, MS Project/Primavera, etc.).
  • Excellent site supervision, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and coordination abilities.
  • Experience with large-scale infrastructure/building projects preferred.
  • Knowledge of local construction regulations, permitting processes, and HSE standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
