The Endpoint security (DLP) Engineer is a key member of the cybersecurity team, responsible for the day-to-day operational support, maintenance, and advanced troubleshooting of the organization's Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Data classification platform. This role focuses on ensuring the DLP solution effectively protects sensitive data from unauthorized disclosure, leakage, or loss, while also providing escalation support for complex incidents and contributing to configuration management and system optimization
Roles and ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities:
1. Installation/Upgradation of DLP, data classification solution components.
2. Installation, upgradation, management of DLP/Classification agents on endpoints 3. Upgrade/update of patches released by OEM 4. Integration of solution with existing setup inline to compatibility 5. Manage day-to-day operations of DLP, Data Classification solutions. 6. Policy configuration including regex, file-types, fingerprinting etc. 7. Perform DLP incident analysis and escalation whenever required. 8. Configure different action plans and notifications including incident workflows. 9. Identification of critical data based on discussion with various departments. 10. Test new features of the solution before production rollout 11. Troubleshoot and resolve reported issues. 12. Escalate solution related issues to the OEM Technical Support and end to end co-ordination. 13. Monitoring & review of DLP & Classification components/infrastructure. 14. Performing gap analysis and configuration-tuning for better performance. 15. Configure best-practices and recommendations within solution. 16. Closure of Vulnerabilities and Audit observations 17. Perform solution health-check periodically and submit the report 18. Facilitate keeping client team informed on new versions, hot fixes, known issues 19. Creation of SOP documentation 20. Preparing Compliance Reports 21. Preparing custom reports / dashboards 22. Preparing testing and deployments plans before updates/upgrades/new feature rollout
Knowledge:
1. In-depth knowledge of data protection principles, DLP policies, and incident response procedures.
2. Familiarity with data classification methodologies and regulatory compliance frameworks. 3. Strong understanding of network protocols, cloud environments, and endpoint security technologies. 4. Understanding of data classification methodologies and sensitive information types. 5. Understanding of security priniciples related to data at rest, data in use, and data in motion
Required Skills:
1. Exceptional analytical, conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to understand complex business requirements and translate them into project management requirements. 3. Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy in project/service deliverables 4. Should have strong written, verbal and presentation skills. 5. Ability to perform under pressure, influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions. 6. Strong negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
