Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development

  • Drive revenue growth across

    General, Life, and Health Insurance

    segments through new business acquisition and client retention.
  • Identify, develop, and manage new business opportunities in corporate and retail insurance portfolios.
  • Coordinate with multiple insurance companies to obtain competitive quotations and structure comprehensive insurance programs.
  • Promote cross-selling of insurance products based on client needs and risk profiles.
  • Achieve assigned business targets within defined timelines.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients by providing excellent advisory and servicing support.
  • Manage end-to-end policy processes including quotation, proposal, policy issuance, endorsements, and renewals.
  • Ensure timely support for claims coordination and documentation.
  • Act as a trusted advisor for clients on risk management and coverage solutions.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor a team of sales executives to achieve sales goals.
  • Provide guidance and training to enhance product knowledge and sales effectiveness.
  • Review team performance, set targets, and ensure productivity.

Market Strategy & Coordination:

  • Analyze client portfolios, market trends, and competitor activities to identify new growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and operations teams for efficient service delivery.
  • Maintain strong relationships with insurers and underwriters for product and pricing negotiations.

Compliance & Reporting:

  • Ensure all broking activities adhere to

    IRDAI regulations

    and internal compliance standards.
  • Maintain accurate and updated client and business records.
  • Submit regular MIS reports on sales performance, pipeline, and renewals.

Required Knowledge & Skills:

  • Must have an

    insurance industry background

    preferably from a broking, underwriting, or corporate sales role.
  • In-depth knowledge of insurance products including:
    • Motor Insurance

    • Health & Life Insurance

    • Fire & Property Insurance

    • Marine Insurance

    • Credit Insurance

    • Liability Insurance

      (including D&O, Professional Indemnity, etc.)
    • Workmen Compensation (WC)

    • Employee Benefits / Group Mediclaim

  • Strong negotiation, communication, and client management skills.
  • Excellent presentation and relationship-building abilities.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
