Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced insurance professional with a strong background in insurance broking and sales to join our team as Assistant Vice President Sales . The ideal candidate must possess in-depth knowledge of insurance products and demonstrate proven expertise in business development, client relationship management, and team leadership. This role involves managing corporate and retail clients, driving revenue growth, and building strong relationships with insurers to deliver the best possible solutions for clients. Key Responsibilities: Sales & Business Development Drive revenue growth across General, Life, and Health Insurance segments through new business acquisition and client retention. Identify, develop, and manage new business opportunities in corporate and retail insurance portfolios. Coordinate with multiple insurance companies to obtain competitive quotations and structure comprehensive insurance programs. Promote cross-selling of insurance products based on client needs and risk profiles. Achieve assigned business targets within defined timelines. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients by providing excellent advisory and servicing support. Manage end-to-end policy processes including quotation, proposal, policy issuance, endorsements, and renewals. Ensure timely support for claims coordination and documentation. Act as a trusted advisor for clients on risk management and coverage solutions. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of sales executives to achieve sales goals. Provide guidance and training to enhance product knowledge and sales effectiveness. Review team performance, set targets, and ensure productivity. Market Strategy & Coordination: Analyze client portfolios, market trends, and competitor activities to identify new growth opportunities. Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and operations teams for efficient service delivery. Maintain strong relationships with insurers and underwriters for product and pricing negotiations. Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all broking activities adhere to IRDAI regulations and internal compliance standards. Maintain accurate and updated client and business records. Submit regular MIS reports on sales performance, pipeline, and renewals. Required Knowledge & Skills: Must have an insurance industry background preferably from a broking, underwriting, or corporate sales role. In-depth knowledge of insurance products including: Motor Insurance Health & Life Insurance Fire & Property Insurance Marine Insurance Credit Insurance Liability Insurance (including D&O, Professional Indemnity, etc.) Workmen Compensation (WC) Employee Benefits / Group Mediclaim Strong negotiation, communication, and client management skills. Excellent presentation and relationship-building abilities. Good analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
