Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Senior Engineer - Sales to join our Valve Automation Division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving both internal and external sales processes, managing customer relationships, and generating new business opportunities for valve automation products and solutions. You will work closely with the technical and engineering teams to understand customer requirements and deliver effective solutions that ensure customer satisfaction and contribute to the overall growth of the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development

    : Identify, explore, and generate new business opportunities within the valve automation industry.
  • Sales & Order Booking

    : Manage end-to-end sales cycles, including order booking, proposal submission, and order execution. Ensure timely follow-up with customers to convert leads into orders.
  • Customer Relationship Management

    : Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders. Act as the primary point of contact for customers to ensure high levels of service satisfaction.
  • Technical Sales Support

    : Collaborate with the engineering and technical teams to understand customer needs and propose the most appropriate solutions.
  • Market Intelligence

    : Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor products, and customer preferences to help shape sales strategies.
  • Product Knowledge

    : Stay updated with the latest developments in valve automation technologies and industry standards to effectively communicate product benefits to customers.
  • Internal Coordination

    : Work closely with the internal teams (engineering, production, logistics) to ensure smooth order processing and timely delivery of products.
  • Reporting & Documentation

    : Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline management. Prepare reports and presentations for senior management.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong technical knowledge of

    valve automation

    and related products.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
  • Solid understanding of

    business development

    , sales processes, and order management.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

  • B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or MBA (preferred) or DME (Diploma in Mechanical Engineering) with MBA.
  • 4 to 6 years of experience in sales or business development in the

    Valve Automation

    or related engineering fields.
  • Proven track record of generating new business and achieving sales targets.

Additional Requirements

  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and site visits as required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM tools.
  • A customer-first attitude and a passion for sales.
