Job Description

Sales Executive / Senior Sales Engineer CAD/CAM (NX Siemens) – Government & PSU Accounts

Experience Required:

3–6 years in CAD/CAM software sales, preferably NX Siemens, with proven track record in Government & PSU sector.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Development in Government & PSU Sector

  • Identify, qualify, and develop sales opportunities in Government departments, Defence, Aerospace PSUs, Railways, Research institutions, and other public-sector bodies.
  • Build strong relationships with decision-makers, procurement officers, and technical evaluators in the public sector.
  • Understand Government procurement processes, including

    GeM (Government e-Marketplace), e-Tendering, RFP/RFQ

    , and rate contracts.

2. Sales of CAD/CAM Solutions (NX Siemens)

  • Promote Siemens NX CAD/CAM/CAE and related PLM solutions to public-sector clients.
  • Conduct technical presentations, product demos, and proof-of-concept (POC) sessions tailored to public-sector project needs.
  • Collaborate with pre-sales engineers to prepare customised technical proposals.

3. Tender Management

  • Monitor and track relevant government tenders, RFPs, and EOIs.
  • Prepare and submit tender documents in compliance with public-sector requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal teams for bid preparation, cost estimation, and documentation.

4. Account Management

  • Maintain long-term relationships with PSU and Government clients to ensure repeat business.
  • Understand client pain points, propose relevant upgrades, and cross-sell or upsell software modules.
  • Liaise with project implementation teams to ensure smooth delivery and post-sales support.

5. Market Intelligence

  • Track competitor activities, market trends, and upcoming government projects in CAD/CAM domain.
  • Provide strategic inputs to management for product positioning in public-sector accounts.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of

    NX Siemens CAD/CAM/CAE

    solutions and their applications in manufacturing, aerospace, defence, and research sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of

    Government procurement policies

    and

    PSU buying processes

    .
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams (pre-sales, technical support, and management).
  • Proficiency in preparing sales reports, tender responses, and client proposals.

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Production/Automobile Engineering or related field.
  • MBA in Marketing (preferred, not mandatory).
  • Siemens NX certifications will be an added advantage.
