How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Demonstrate advanced expertise in technologies, tools, and methodologies within your specialization by addressing complex industrial challenges and staying updated through external technology reviews.
  • Offer technical leadership in transformer insulation design for R&D projects, supporting innovation and providing guidance throughout various project phases, including design clarification, simulation, and troubleshooting.
  • Develop new ideas and contribute to multiple technology initiatives by leveraging your knowledge of dielectrics and insulation.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, propose technical solutions, design innovative products, and simulate their performance.
  • Communicate insights through detailed reports, specifications, and participation in educational programs, ensuring effective knowledge transfer.
  • Assess and enhance production processes by proactively identifying improvement areas and provide expert support to factories.
  • Collaborate globally with research scientists, technology centers, technology managers, and engineers across different facilities, strengthening both internal and external partnerships, including with customers and academic institutions.
  • Lead the advancement of transformer insulation design tools, from creating technical requirements to supporting software development and testing solution quality. Formulate clear, actionable recommendations for the business, and ensure that findings are shared and documented effectively.
  • Participate in product and technology development projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. Take on key project roles, including sub-project leadership, to align activities with R&D objectives. Engage actively in engineering networks to deepen your expertise and increase your professional visibility.
  • Recognize the significance of intellectual property to the organization by contributing to IP discussions, preparing clearance reports, and identifying potential risks in R&D activities.
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background

  • MS or PhD Engineer in High Voltage Engineering or Power System engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of proven experience on using simulation tools (Ansys, Elecnet, COMSOL etc..) and preferably have experience in designing and FEM based simulations.
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, including electromagnetics, dielectrics and circuit analysis
  • Expertise in characterizing and modeling the dielectric properties of various materials, including permittivity, permeability, and loss tangent.
  • Deep understanding of Power Transformer insulation design, insulation materials and testing techniques.
  • Familiarity with international standards like IEEE, ANSI, and IEC, related to transformers and their components
  • Knowledge of CAD modelling software (CREO)
  • Solid understanding of the standard body of knowledge in the relevant technical field and solid technical proficiency.
  • Willingness to travel to factories when needed
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
