Job Description The Senior Application Engineer role would require in depth interfacing with customers and prospects by a given set of accounts. This calls for technical diligence to be able to position a Multiphysics Portfolio in its holistic spread. This shall require an intact appreciation for customer business objectives, key business initiatives (KBIs), technical challenges and infrastructure configurations. Such role can span across physics involving Structural Mechanics, Fluid Dynamics, Optics, ElectroMagnetics, Systems Engineering, Data Management, AI/ML. Responsible for NPD Cycle till project execution, leading/involving CFT members Electromagnetic design & Analysis of motor using Softwares JMAG/SPEED/MotorSolve Responsible for electrical motor mechanical design and Validation Comparing different types motors (SPM/IPM/SRM/AXIAL/SynRM) for different applications Develops methods to improve electric machine performance through improved materials, modelling methods, and design algorithms. Testing & validation of electric machines as per relevant standards. Proto type building & proving concept design with tight timing constraints. Lead APQP and relevant Product development cycle for the Projects Costing of motor & generating VAVE ideas. Keep track of global trends in relevant technology, regulations and develop long term road maps and appropriate work plan Benchmarking and generation of ideas for better performance, quality, cost, weight. Key Duties and Responsibilities Apply engineering expertise and knowledge of simulation techniques to develop knowledge data related to Ansys Electronics products that can be consumed by Large Language Models (LLMs). Identify gaps in existing knowledge and work with multiple subject matter experts to fill these gaps. Work with internal & external databases to develop data pipelines for developing AI models. Develop technical expertise in both Ansys Electronics products and state-of-the-art GenAI technologies that are appropriate for technical support, learning and development. Follow legal and enterprise level data governance policies while handling any data. Fully document all data workflows developed towards AI powered applications and present them to the Data audit teams. Participate in other strategic team and company initiatives, as needed. Be agile and open to new responsibilities. This is a very fast paced role requiring a try often, fail fast kind of mindset. Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Required minimum years of professional experience in an engineering software environment: BS+3. Demonstrated use of relevant Ansys software or knowledge of other commercial CAE, CAD, EDA, PLM software packages. Logical problem-solving, strong interpersonal and communication skills, fluent in writing and speaking English. Strong organizational and time management skills, possesses a sense of urgency. Preferred Qualifications and Skills Preferred education and years of professional experience in an engineering software environment: MS+1. Knowledge of the use of Ansys Electronics products (such as HFSS / Maxwell) or other commercial or in-house thermal simulation codes is a plus. Proficiency in Python scripting and knowledge of the basics of machine learning would be a plus. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as with others in a diverse team environment. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and to communicate effectively.
