Senior Quantity Surveyor

As a skilled Quantity Surveyor at Lambsrock, you will be responsible for managing project costs, preparing budgets, assessing contract terms, and ensuring timely and within-budget delivery of A-Grade warehousing and factory projects for a global leader in logistics real estate. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and overheads. - Conduct cost planning and establish project budgets to meet financial targets. - Advise on cost-effective solutions while maintaining project specifications. - Assist in tender document preparation, procurement schedules, and contractor bid evaluations. - Monitor contractor performance, ensuring adherence to budget and quality standards. - Administer contract changes, variations, and claims with clear communication to stakeholders. - Provide regular cost reports, progress tracking, and variance analysis. - Conduct site visits to monitor progress, inspect work quality, and ensure compliance with specifications. - Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors, and consultants throughout the project. - Identify, assess, and manage risks related to costs and contract performance. - Assist with final account preparation and post-project evaluations for improvements. Key Requirements: Education: - Bachelor's degree in civil/electrical/mechanical or equivalent Quantity Surveyor field. - Chartered status (MRICS or equivalent) highly desirable. Experience: - Minimum 10 years of Quantity Surveyor experience in A-Grade warehousing, factory, or industrial projects. - Strong understanding of construction processes and cost management for large-scale industrial projects. Skills and Abilities: - Proficient in construction contracts, cost estimating, budgeting, and tendering procedures. - Familiarity with cost management and project management software. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
