Job Description

The company, NRC Group, is a well-established ASME U stamp Certified Sheet Metal Fabrication Company with 35 years of experience. Currently, they are seeking a Senior Quality Engineer who possesses relevant expertise in sheet metal fabrication, specifically in areas such as storage tanks, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, processing tanks, and press tool (Stamping) components. As a Senior Quality Engineer at NRC Group, your primary responsibility will be to lead and execute quality assurance processes within the sheet metal fabrication domain. This includes overseeing inspections, testing procedures, and audits to ensure adherence to quality standards. You will be expected to develop and implement quality control plans, inspection protocols, and process documentation such as FMEA, PPAP, and Control Plans. Possessing ASME U Stamp certification and familiarity with related procedures will be crucial for this role. Your role will involve monitoring tool wear, dimensional accuracy, and tool life to uphold high stamping quality standards. Additionally, you will be managing quality control processes specific to press tools, dies, and stamped components. Conducting incoming, in-process, and final inspections of tooling components will be part of your routine tasks. Furthermore, you will play a pivotal role in identifying opportunities for quality enhancements and cost reductions within production processes. Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective/preventive actions for customer complaints and internal defects will be key aspects of your responsibilities. Collaboration with design, production, and supply chain teams to ensure product quality at all manufacturing stages is essential. Qualifications & Experience: - Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. - NDT Level II or Welding Inspection Certification. - 6-10 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication, Press tool components, or a similar manufacturing environment. - Proficiency in manufacturing standards and tolerances for sheet metal. - Sound knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, and Six Sigma practices. - Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills. As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will also be involved in leading quality audits and resolving customer complaints. Training and mentoring junior quality engineers and inspectors will be part of your role to ensure the continuous improvement of quality standards within the organization. This is a full-time position with benefits including life insurance and provident fund. The work schedule is during the day shift, with a yearly bonus provided. The work location is in person, and the expected start date for this position is 01/06/2025.,
