We Are Hiring A Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Manager – Systems (Electrical Engineer)

Qualification & Experience:

1- Educational Qualification:

a) Graduate in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 12 years of total work experience, OR

b) Diploma in Quality Assurance with a minimum of 15 years of total work experience.

2- Relevant Experience (Similar Works):

a) Graduate – Minimum 6 years of experience in Quality Assurance for 66kV or 

above GIS-based substations in Metro Rail/ Railway/ Power Infrastructure projects.

b) Diploma – Minimum 8 years of experience in QA of similar works.

Key Role & Responsibilities:

1. Quality Assurance Strategy & Planning:

a) Develop, implement, & maintain the Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) for all Systems works (GIS substations, E&M, and associated electrical installations).

b) Establish and oversee Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) for electrical works, including Switchgear, Transformers, SCADA, Cabling, & Earthing Systems.

c) Ensure compliance with national & international standards (IEC, IEEE, IS), Metro Rail Authority QA guidelines, and contract specifications.

2. Vendor & Material Quality:

a) Review and approve quality documents, test plans, FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) reports, and OEM certifications.

b) Conduct/witness Factory and Site Acceptance Tests (FAT & SAT) for GIS, Transformers, Switchgear, & Control & Protection Systems.

c) Verify and certify the quality of all supplied materials and equipment before installation.

3. Site QA/QC Oversight:

a) Ensure installation quality of GIS substations, Auxiliary Substations, Cabling, SCADA, & E&M systems.

b) Conduct inspections for OHE and power supply interfaces, ensuring seamless integration with metro systems.

c) Identify, Record, and Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), ensuring timely resolution.

4. Documentation & Compliance:

a) Maintain complete and accurate QA/QC records, Test Reports, Calibration Logs, and Inspection Documents.

b) Prepare and submit periodic QA compliance reports to Client, Consultant, and Project Director.

c) Ensure traceability of all QA records for client handover and audits.

5. Leadership & Coordination:

a) Lead the Systems QA/QC team and coordinate with design, execution, and client representatives.

b) Provide technical guidance and training to project staff and contractors on QA procedures.

c) Drive a zero-defect, quality-first culture across all project stakeholders.

Skills & Competencies:

1- Strong expertise in QA/QC of High-Voltage Substations (66kV & above, GIS preferred) & E&M systems integration.

2- Familiarity with metro/railway project QA frameworks and safety standards.

3- Proficiency in FAT, SAT, and QA reporting processes.

4- Excellent leadership, documentation, and client coordination skills.

5- Ability to manage QA activities in fast-paced design-build project environments.

Deliverables:

1- Approved Quality Assurance Plan for Systems.

2- Weekly and monthly QA compliance reports.

3- Comprehensive QA documentation package for project handover.

4- Zero major NCRs from client and consultant inspections.
