Senior Python Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Developer to own and lead the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our company website, which is built on Wagtail CMS and Django. This role is not just about coding—it requires someone who can take accountability, work closely with marketing teams, understand business goals, and translate them into scalable, SEO-friendly web solutions. You will be the go-to expert for our website, ensuring it is reliable, optimized for performance, aligned with SEO best practices, and capable of supporting our fast-moving marketing initiatives. Job Responsibilities-

• Lead the development and maintenance of our Wagtail/Django-based website.
• Ensure site stability, uptime, and performance across devices and browsers.
• Implement new features, enhancements, and integrations as per business needs. SEO & Marketing Enablement
• Work closely with marketing teams to implement SEO-driven changes, landing pages, and content updates.
• Optimize site architecture, schema, and metadata for maximum search visibility.
• Monitor and improve page load speed, Core Web Vitals, and accessibility compliance.
• Technical Development, Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code in Django/Wagtail.
•  Maintain deployment pipelines and coordinate with infra teams for smooth releases.
• Ensure security best practices and timely patching of dependencies.
• Collaboration & Accountability
• Act as the single point of accountability for website development and enhancements.
•  Translate marketing/business requirements into technical solutions with clear timelines.
• Proactively suggest improvements and go the extra mile to make the website a growth engine for the business.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional development experience, with at least 2+ years in Wagtail CMS and Django.
• Strong understanding of SEO best practices, Google Search Console, and web analytics tools.
• Proven experience in maintaining and scaling content-driven websites.
• Hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6+), and modern front-end frameworks.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and cloud deployments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Familiarity with performance optimization techniques and accessibility standards (WCAG).
• Strong problem-solving skills, accountability, and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills for close collaboration with marketing teams.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Google Tag Manager, analytics, and marketing automation tools.

• Understanding of security practices (SSL, CSP, vulnerability patching).
