Job Description

As a Senior Project Manager at Citi, you will be responsible for managing professional teams and departments, integrating subject matter expertise, and contributing to standards within the defined area. Your role will involve understanding how different areas integrate within the sub-function, coordinating objectives, and demonstrating basic commercial awareness. You will need excellent communication and diplomacy skills to guide, influence, and convince colleagues and external customers. Your responsibilities will include ensuring volume, quality, timeliness, and end results delivery, as well as potentially leading planning, budgeting, and policy formulation within your expertise area. Key Responsibilities: - Directing, coordinating, implementing, executing, controlling, and completing specified projects in alignment with Citi project management governance - Managing people managers and aligning organizational objectives with individual development plans - Project managing small projects while overseeing the total project list and key critical projects - Resolving complex problems or transactions, interpreting against policies, guidelines, or processes - Taking full ownership of processes, reports, procedures, or products and serving as an analytical or procedural expert within a unit or team - Supervising the day-to-day work of junior employees and managing a team consisting of support staff and/or entry-level analysts - Creating project plans, benefits management plans, stakeholder management plans, and risk management plans - Assigning resources to projects, monitoring commitment, and executing change control throughout the project - Identifying, documenting, and understanding project dependencies and key stakeholders - Tracking project costs, identifying variances, and reforecasting costs as needed - Measuring project management performance against standards and ensuring appropriate project staffing levels - Establishing project communication needs and creating communication plans - Partnerships with cross-function peers to create, administer, track, and close project contracts - Assessing risk when making business decisions and ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and policies Qualifications: - 6-10 years of project management experience, preferably in financial services - Supervisory experience with project managers, business analysts, or project officers - Experience interacting at the Board/Executive management level - Broad understanding of business practices - Ability to work effectively in highly pressured and volatile environments Education: - Bachelor's/University degree required, Master's degree preferred Citi is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer, providing career opportunities to all qualified applicants.
