Responsible for execution of a complete project consisting of all mechanical aspects of equipment along which includes on time, on budget, to specification and with quality. Responsible for directing efforts of other engineers, designers and drafters.
A Senior Individual Contributor applies advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and/or technical education as well as work experience. Responsibilities may include managing projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision, and coaching, delegating and reviewing the work of lower level employees. Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex.
Your Responsibilities
- Specifications for and mechanical design of Pyro products - Preheater, Kilns, Coolers and Similar equipment used in producing cement clinker, including design calculations, Sizing and documentation.
- Support to proposal, sales departments and Project Management
- Release of deliverables meeting the defined quality norms while ensuring adherence to contractual / project specific requirements within the defined time frames
- Defining requirements for new design together with Innovation & Development teams
- Technical assistance to colleagues worldwide, suppliers and plant sites on time, technical discussion with clients.
- Work in close collaboration with the Chief Engineer & other stakeholders
- Design and support state of the art cement plant equipment, prepare necessary documentation covering everything from risk assessments, drawings, specifications, instructions, and design manuals.
- Design and make necessary strength calculations on equipment as well as on machinery parts.
- Prepare/Update design manuals to be used for standard order handling
- Make technical drawings and 3D design work using SolidWorks
- Apply design judgements using the knowledge of Fits, Tolerances, Finish, Manufacturing methods and work shop practices.
- Good Knowledge on Global Design standards and adopt the same to regional requirements
- Prepare end user documentation which meets the latest quality standards and end user requirement.
- Skillful to calculate and update the lifecycle of component and prepare recommended spare & service requirements
- Deliver the best possible quality – also when deadlines turn tough and it takes serious persistence to get to the goal.
- Ensure project tracking in all stages with accurate data and documentation for future retrieval
- Support Customer service for spare parts sales and retrofit.
- Timely communication to all stakeholders.
What You Bring
- Proficient to work in Microsoft Office Tools.
- Proficient to work in teams as well as independently.
- Good in English at 'negotiation level' both written and orally.
- Proficient in trouble shooting on site with a hands-on approach.
- Expert in documentation which meets the quality standards.
- Skilled/Proficient making 3D models for Products.
- Expert in technical drawings and 3D design work using SolidWorks
- Proficient in doing product layouts in 3D & Autocad
- Exposure to global working environment
