Senior Platform Engineer, Developer Experience

.We are seeking a talented Senior Platform Engineer to join the Developer Experience (DevX) team, focused on building scalable infrastructure and tooling that empowers engineers to be more productive. In this role, you will design, maintain, and enhance internal platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and developer-facing tools, ensuring seamless workflows across multiple teams. You will work closely with product and engineering teams to create infrastructure that is resilient, observable, and automated, reducing friction and accelerating delivery. The role offers the opportunity to have a broad impact on developer productivity, shaping the tools and processes that drive engineering excellence. Candidates should thrive in a collaborative, remote environment, be comfortable with cloud-native systems, and have a strong bias for automation and innovation.
Accountabilities:
- Design, build, and maintain GitOps-based CI/CD pipelines for safe, scalable, and automated service delivery
- Develop and maintain internal CLI tools to streamline developer workflows
- Create and manage GitHub Apps and Actions to enforce code quality and automate engineering tasks
- Own secret management tooling, ensuring secure storage, access, and rotation across environments
- Build and operate custom Kubernetes operators and CRDs to automate infrastructure management
- Maintain and evolve automated SLO systems for teams to define and track service-level objectives
- Manage the internal developer portal, centralizing documentation, service catalogs, and self-service tools
- Contribute to internal API frameworks and enforce Protobuf linting rules to ensure cross-service consistency
- Collaborate with engineers across teams to improve workflows and support a large fleet of microservices in production
Requirements
- 5-8 years of backend software development experience, including designing APIs, distributed systems, or platform infrastructure
- Strong proficiency in Go, with clean, maintainable, and idiomatic code practices
- Solid understanding of service-to-service communication patterns (REST, gRPC)
- Experience with distributed systems, observability, and designing resilient infrastructure at scale
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Helm, CRDs, and custom operators
- Expertise in CI/CD practices, particularly GitOps workflows
- Familiarity with cloud-native environments, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GKE, IAM, Pub/Sub, Cloud Build)
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Helm
- Proven experience building developer-facing tools or internal platforms with a focus on automation and developer experience
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and systems thinking skills
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with professional proficiency in English
