We're a new restaurant company launching our first Chinese restaurant outlet in Mumbai, with plans to scale up and expand our presence in the future. We're looking for an experienced Operations and Project Head to lead our pre-opening and operational efforts, setting the foundation for our brand's success.
*Job Summary:*
We're seeking a seasoned professional with extensive experience in managing chain restaurant operations, specifically in Chinese cuisine, to oversee the pre-opening and operational aspects of our restaurant chain. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and quality control, as well as experience in managing multiple restaurant locations.
*Key Responsibilities:*
1. *Pre-Opening:*
- Lead site selection, design, and construction processes for new outlets.
- Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with architects, designers, and contractors to ensure outlets are built to brand standards.
2. *Operations:*
- Develop and implement operational systems, processes, and standards for Chinese restaurants.
- Manage day-to-day operations, including food preparation, customer service, and inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and regulatory requirements.
3. *Food Quality and Menu Development:*
- Develop and maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and taste.
- Collaborate with culinary teams to develop menus, recipes, and specials that meet brand standards.
4. *Team Management:*
- Recruit, train, and manage high-performing teams, including restaurant managers, chefs, and service staff.
- Foster a positive work culture, promote employee engagement, and develop talent.
*Requirements:*
- *Experience:*
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in managing chain restaurant operations, specifically in Chinese cuisine.
- Proven track record of successfully opening and operating multiple restaurant locations.
- Experience in managing large teams, budgets, and projects.
- *Food Knowledge:*
- In-depth knowledge of Chinese cuisine.
- Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and quality control.
- *Skills:*
- Strong leadership, management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
