Our technology services client is seeking multiple Senior Network Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. These positions offer a strong potential for conversion to full-time employment upon completion of the initial contract period. Below are further details about the role: Role: Senior Network Engineer Mandatory Skills: Configuring Zscaler, Cisco Switches, and Cisco Routers,BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP. Experience: 7+ Years Location: Bangalore, Mumbai Notice Period: Immediate- 15 Days Job Description: Responsibilities Implement changes to the network configuration as needed Respond to network incidents and outages promptly working to resolution within defined SLAs Collaborate with cross functional teams to resolve complex network issues Manage and maintain configurations for switches routers and firewalls Implement changes to network configurations based on best practices and security guidelines Implement and maintain network security measures including firewalls and intrusion detection prevention systems Ensure network compliance with security policies and industry standards Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation including diagrams configurations and procedures Keep documentation updated with any network changes Participate in day and night shift rotations Night shift employees have the option to work from home and will receive a shift premium Collaborate with other IT teams including system administrators security and application support to deliver integrated solutions Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field preferred or 5 years of related experience Relevant certifications eg CCNA CCNP JNCIA JNCIS are a plus Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in network operations Experience with the configuration and management of switches routers and firewalls Familiarity with Meraki and Fortinet platforms are a plus Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting networking equipment Knowledge of routing protocols eg OSPF BGP and switching technologies Understanding of network security principles and best practices Experience with firewall configuration and management Willingness to work day and night shifts as part of a rotation Ability to work from home during night shifts Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to communicate technical information to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
