Job Title: Senior Manager Warehouse Operations

Job Overview

The Senior Manager Warehouse Operations will be responsible for managing end-to-end warehouse operations . The role requires strong hands-on experience in e-commerce or quick commerce environments, with deep exposure to inbound operations, order fulfilment, and Return to Origin (RTO) processes. The incumbent will drive operational excellence, SLA adherence, cost optimization, and continuous process improvement while ensuring high standards of accuracy, safety, and customer experience.

Roles and Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations (End-to-End)

• Lead and manage end-to-end warehouse operations, including inwards, put-away, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, and returns.
  
• Ensure smooth handling of inbound operations, including GRN, quality checks, and inventory put-away.
  
• Oversee RTO and reverse logistics operations, ensuring timely processing, reconciliation, and inventory updates.
  

Process Excellence & Productivity

• Drive operational efficiency through process optimization, layout planning, manpower productivity, and automation initiatives.
  
• Monitor KPIs such as order accuracy, inbound TAT, RTO rates, inventory accuracy, and cost per order.
  
• Implement SOPs and best practices to improve speed, accuracy, and scalability.
  

Inventory & Controls

• Ensure high inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation processes.
  
• Manage inventory ageing, damages, expiries , and loss prevention.
  
• Strengthen internal controls and compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  

Team & Stakeholder Management

• Lead and develop warehouse teams, including operations managers, supervisors, and floor staff.
  
• Manage staffing, training, performance reviews, and productivity targets.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as supply chain, planning, customer experience, and technology.
  

Reporting & Management Updates

• Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports to senior leadership.
  
• Provide insights on capacity planning, peak management, and cost optimization opportunities.
  

Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably in e-commerce or quick commerce environments.
  
• Strong hands-on experience in inwards, outbound fulfilment, and RTO / reverse logistics.
  
• Proven experience managing end-to-end warehouse operations for B2C and B2B models.
  
• Exposure to WMS, ERP systems, and data-driven decision-making.
  
• Strong people management, problem-solving, and execution skills.
  
• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
