L40 Finance & Ad Operations Director – Retail Media
Role Summary
The Finance & Ad Ops Operations Director will lead operational excellence across all accounts in the Retail Media department, with an initial focus on the top three highest-spending clients. This role is responsible for driving financial governance, ad operations compliance, and workflow solutions across complex media types including Search/PLA, DSP self-service, managed service display/video, and onsite campaigns. The Director will work closely with Maggie Siegler (VP, Strategy & Operations), Retail Media client team leads (Associate Directors+), and the Finance Reconciliation team, while also collaborating with Media Tech and Analytics teams to ensure scalable, compliant, and efficient execution.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial + Operations Workflow Leadership & Governance

Lead and maintain department-wide guidance for Prisma/Media Ocean and settings by campaign type.

Build and support RACI plans for each account, tailored to staffing and campaign complexity and billing needs

Identify and implement scalable workflow improvements and automation opportunities across financial and ad ops processes.
Financial Operations Oversight

Ensure Prisma campaigns and IOs are aligned to client-approved budgets and supported by MAFs before launch.

Facilitate monthly actualization workflows and coordinate with Finance Reconciliation to ensure timely and accurate completion.

Lead resolution of invoice discrepancies, including missing or misaligned invoices.

Maintain and evolve the vendor billing relationships matrix; collaborate with Partnerships to troubleshoot systemic vendor issues.
Ad Ops & Platform Compliance

Oversee tagging workflows for display campaigns, coordinating with Media Tech and ensuring correct Prisma inputs and tag delivery.

Ensure adherence to operational standards across media types, especially for Search/PLA, Amazon DSP, and TTD DSP.

Support audit documentation and quality assurance protocols across accounts.

Work with tech partners like Pacvue and Skai and other vendors to augment our automation workstreams to support standards adherence.
Cross-Functional Enablement

Collaborate with media and analytics teams to streamline data pulls and pacing documentation and flowcharting through systems like Guideline Planner.

Serve as escalation point for campaign Prisma setup and billing issues.

Coordinate closely with Retail Media leadership and Strategy & Operations to align priorities and support team enablement.
