Senior Manager - Java Development

As a Senior Manager in Java Development, you will be responsible for managing software projects for the development and maintenance of enterprise-class business IT applications in the Banking domain. Your expertise in SDLC Methodologies (Waterfall/Agile), estimation techniques, project planning using tools like Microsoft Project, risk management, and stakeholder management will be crucial for the success of the projects. You should possess a good understanding of the architecture of enterprise applications to troubleshoot environment issues effectively. Your hands-on experience in Java and J2EE platforms, including Spring, design patterns, Angular, UI frameworks, CI-CD, and Microservices Architecture, will enable you to conduct design and code reviews, as well as mentor developers for enhanced efficiency. Emphasizing quality in the initial stages of development and knowledge of BDD tools like Cucumber will be advantageous. Key Responsibilities: - Manage multiple technologies and research & innovation projects in areas such as Data Science, AI/ML, BIG data, NLP, and deep learning - Coordinate Change Requests and Service Requests in a multi-skilled engineering environment - Manage IT projects within agreed timelines, prepare SOW, and finalize scope with stakeholders - Utilize project management methodologies, tools, and templates for effective program/project planning, schedule development, scope management, and cost management - Foster customer focus through regular follow-up, openness, trust, and delivering on promises - Work effectively in a matrixed, multi-functional IT organization, collaborating with 3rd party vendors and internal IT teams - Manage one or more large, complex projects simultaneously, employing industry-standard project methods, tools, and techniques - Demonstrate strong team working skills across matrixed client, supplier, and geographically dispersed virtual teams - Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills - Implement performance management and goal setting for team members and yourself Qualifications Required: - BTech/MCA/MTech in relevant field - 15-18 years of total IT experience with at least 6-8 years in managing software projects for enterprise-class business IT applications in the Banking domain - Proven expertise in SDLC Methodologies, estimation techniques, project planning, risk management, and stakeholder management - Hands-on experience in Java and J2EE platforms, including Spring, design patterns, Angular, UI frameworks, CI-CD, and Microservices Architecture - Knowledge of BDD tools like Cucumber is a plus - Strong team working skills, project management skills, and expertise in industry-standard project methods and tools The role will be based in Navi Mumbai and will be on a fixed-term contract basis for ReBIT initially for five years, extendable by mutual consent.,
