Purpose of the Role:

The position is based in Hyderabad, India.


Key Responsibilities of the Role:


  1. Instructional Design for Video-Based Learning:

  • Apply instructional design principles to create innovative and impactful learning experiences, with a specific emphasis on video-based instructional content.
  • Collaborate with the Associate Director, learning engineers, and external vendors to design and develop multimedia learning materials that align with program objectives.
  1. Learning Design and Content Management:

  • Research and identify emerging industry trends to develop new courses.
  • Establish centralized repositories for reusable materials to enhance scalability and efficiency.
  • Analyse course content, participant feedback, and faculty ratings to ensure alignment with program goals.
  • Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for consistency.
  • Utilize pedagogical tools such as action learning and coaching to enhance learning outcomes.
  1. Stakeholder Management:

  • Collaborate with faculty, clients, and Learning & Development (L&D) team members to ensure program success.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including learning engineers and program managers, to understand program requirements and learning objectives.
  • Partner with ISB's Research Centers and Centers of Excellence (CoE) for co-creating program offerings.
  • Foster long-term client relationships through regular communication and feedback sessions.
  1. Faculty Relationship Management:

  • Assess faculty fitment and assign them accordingly to optimize program delivery.
  • Lead design meetings, customization calls, and program reviews with internal and external faculty.
  • Collaborate with Program Managers to ensure smooth logistical management of Executive Education programs.


  1. Content Development and Curation:

  • Develop and curate instructional content, ensuring alignment with learning objectives and the overall program strategy.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, faculty, and industry partners to gather content and create engaging learning modules.
  1. Learning Architecture & Curriculum Design

  • Design comprehensive learning architectures for different programs, aligning them with strategic client and faculty objectives.
  • Develop curriculum maps, module structures, and assessment strategies grounded in adult learning theory and Bloom’s taxonomy.
  • Partner with faculty and clients to co-create outcome-driven learning paths that address real-world challenges.


  1. Multimedia Integration:

  • Integrate multimedia elements, especially video, into instructional materials to enhance the overall learning experience.
  • Work closely with video content creators and editors to ensure the seamless incorporation of visual and interactive elements.
  1. Quality Assurance:

  • Conduct quality assurance checks on instructional materials, focusing on the effectiveness of instructional design, clarity, and adherence to program standards.
  • Iterate and refine content based on feedback and evaluation data.
  1. Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in instructional design, especially in the context of video-based learning.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of instructional design processes and practices within the digital learning team.



Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in experience in instructional design with a focus on digital learning and video-based instruction, learning and development expertise, ed-tech industry, strategic consulting, executive education, corporate learning, online instruction, learner support.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in using instructional design tools and multimedia authoring software.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing previous work in instructional design, particularly with video-based content and curriculum creation.


Job Competencies & Requirements:


Knowledge / Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and best practices in digital learning.
  • Proficiency in analyzing data and deriving actionable insights to drive decision-making.
  • Familiarity with emerging trends and technologies in educational technology and online learning.
  • Client Engagement & Custom Program Design.
  • Proficiency in using instructional design tools, multimedia authoring software, and learning management systems.
