About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Senior Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Engineer to design, develop, and manage scalable cloud solutions that drive our business objectives. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Google Cloud services, architecture best practices, and cloud security, with a proven track record of delivering complex cloud projects. Key Responsibilities: Architect, design, and implement secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform. Lead migration of on-premises applications and data to GCP. Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Deployment Manager. Collaborate with development teams to build CI/CD pipelines and automate deployments. Optimize cloud resources for cost, performance, and security. Implement and manage security best practices, including IAM policies, encryption, and compliance controls. Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team. Stay updated with the latest GCP features and industry trends to recommend improvements. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering with at least 3 years focused on Google Cloud Platform. Strong expertise in GCP services such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, and Cloud SQL. Proficient in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or similar languages. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Deployment Manager). Solid understanding of networking concepts, VPNs, firewalls, load balancing, and CDN. Knowledge of cloud security principles, IAM, and compliance frameworks. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred Certifications: Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or equivalent
