Key Attributes:

We are looking for a candidate to help us comply with the indirect tax obligations and Compliances (GST). To be successful in this role, you should:

• Be a Qualified Chartered Accountant.
• Have minimum 9 years of core experience in Indirect Taxes particularly in GST
• Working with mid/large organization with multistate operations and/or Big-4 consulting firm;
• Have well versed with the procedural part of GST law;
• have hand on experience of GST processes formulation and implementation in ERP/IT systems;
• Have practical experience of GST implementation including carrying our business impact assessment and IT impact assessment particularly change management in IT systems
• Have experience appearing before Senior tax officers and handled litigation up to CESTAT level.

Given below is job description which captures the primary responsibility of the role. Depending upon the requirement/fitment, you may be assigned any other responsibly within the tax function of the Company

A: GST Compliances and Process:

• Identifying opportunity to improve GST invoicing, recording and reporting processes
• Implementing new or revised tax policies and periodic monitoring thereof
• Standardizing Process, preparing process notes and ensuring effective implementation across all GSTINs of Max Network entities
• Reviewing the GST return of for all GSTINs of Max Healthcare Group entities; suggesting and tracking the improvements
• Streamlining Input Tax Credit availment and utilization mechanism for all GSTINs of Max Network entities and minimize ITC loss
• On-site periodic review to ensure the laid down policies are being followed

B: GST Tax Technology

• Leading the automation of identified Tax processes and/or changes necessitated by tax law
• Working to bring automation in GST Return filing process and GST Assessment process

C: GST Amendment & Implementation; Risk Mitigation:

• Tracking the GST amendments and suggesting way-forward considering the existing resources, system and processes
• GST Risk identification and suggesting mitigation
• Correct classification of proposed services and creating appropriate billing item codes
• Review of Contact to strengthen from tax perspective

D: GST Optimization:

• Maximum the availing Input tax Credit and reducing leaking on account of unveiled credit or mismatches
• Ensuring that GST exemption is duly availed
• Transaction Structuring to optimize tax outflow

E: Litigation Support:

• Effectively handling all GST assessment, Scrutiny and enquiry proceedings in order to get favorable closures
• Rendering support in past or present SCN/Litigations under service tax law/VAT/GST
• Maintaining Up to date litigation tracker
