Senior Lead Operational Risk Officer

You will be responsible for providing companywide oversight and governance of an integrated operational risk program or initiative. Your key responsibilities will include: - Developing and driving innovative operational risk approaches and solutions companywide through an influence model - Identifying potential business operational risks - Constructively and independently challenging existing risk management fundamentals or assumptions and developing alternative approaches and solutions - Evaluating long term implications and consequences of strategic business decisions and recommending appropriate alternatives for risk management - Leading implementation of complex initiatives with high risk, generally spanning multiple business lines - Consulting with the business on corrective action plans and effectively managing change - Influencing and negotiating with executive management and business heads as high-level stakeholders both within and outside Wells Fargo - Leading initiatives and virtual teams across the organization to deliver companywide business risk management transformations - Collaborating and consulting with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals - Leading project or virtual teams and mentoring less experienced staff Qualifications Required: - 7+ years of Operational Risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Desired Qualifications: - Strong experience in risk management including compliance, operational risk, audit, credit risk, market risk, liquidity risk, interest rate risk - Industry certifications such as CPA, CIA, CA preferred - Finance or Finance Risk Management certification - Strong interpersonal, influencing, leadership, and communications skills - Strong strategic and conceptual thinking skills - Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills - Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy - Ability to execute in a fast-paced, high demand environment while prioritizing work and balancing multiple priorities - Advanced Microsoft Office skills and adept at using Artificial Intelligence tools - Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organization levels - Ability to exercise independent judgment and creative problem-solving techniques - Independent Operational Risk assessment - reporting and Insights In addition, you will be expected to work in a hybrid model based out of Bangalore or Hyderabad with a shift timing from 01:30 pm to 10:30 pm. You should have meaningful knowledge of enterprise risk management frameworks and the ORM Methodology. Your role will involve maintaining a balance between risk mitigation and operational efficiency, analyzing business and system changes to determine impact, and providing operational risk expertise to complex business units.
