Job Title: Java Backend Developer (Consultant) Location: Bengaluru (Hybrid) Contract Duration: 1 Year Notice Period: 0 to 15 Days Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and motivated Java – Spring Boot Developer to join our dynamic development team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, secure, and efficient backend solutions that support critical business applications. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, test, and maintain robust and scalable backend services using Java (v8/11/17) and Spring Boot. Build and expose RESTful APIs for frontend and third-party integrations. Ensure seamless integration with frontend components and other backend systems. Implement security protocols, data validation, and business logic. Optimize application performance, scalability, and maintainability. Conduct code reviews and unit testing; ensure adherence to code quality standards. Collaborate with DevOps for CI/CD processes, automated deployments, and monitoring. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in various environments. Stay up to date with emerging backend technologies, tools, and best practices. Required Skills and Qualifications: 4 to 8 years of hands-on experience in Java (8/11/17) and Spring Boot frameworks. Strong grasp of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns. Proficient in building RESTful APIs and integrating with external systems. Expertise in Spring Core, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Security. Solid experience with RDBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle) and ORM tools (Hibernate/JPA). Knowledge of Microservices architecture and design. Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI). Familiarity with build tools such as Maven or Gradle. Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes is a plus. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP is desirable. Show more Show less
