Senior Hardware Design Engineer

Job Title: Senior Hardware Design Engineer – High-Speed Board Design Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Hardware Design Engineer with deep expertise in high-speed board design, PCB development, and communication protocols. The ideal candidate will have strong practical experience in designing complex boards for networking and embedded systems, along with proficiency in industry-standard design tools and architectures. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and validation of high-speed circuit boards for networking and embedded systems. Create and review schematic designs using Cadence Concept, OrCAD, and layout designs in Allegro. Ensure compliance with high-speed signal integrity requirements and apply best practices in PCB layout. Integrate and test systems using communication protocols such as DDR4, PCIe, XAUI, SPI, and I2C. Design and implement solutions for Ethernet switching technologies including Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, and 10GbaseT. Develop and test Power over Ethernet (PoE, PoE+, 4-Pair UPOE) solutions. Work with various processor architectures including PowerPC, ARM, and x86. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software, mechanical, and manufacturing) to ensure successful product integration. Conduct hardware debugging, validation, and performance optimization. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering (Master’s preferred). 10+ years of proven experience in high-speed board design. Proficiency in Cadence Concept, OrCAD, and Allegro PCB Design tools. Strong understanding of high-speed signal integrity concepts and simulation tools. Hands-on experience with DDR4, PCIe, XAUI, SPI, and I2C communication protocols. Practical knowledge of Ethernet switching and Power over Ethernet standards. Experience with PowerPC, ARM, and x86 architectures. Skills & Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
