We are looking for a talented and versatile Mid-Level Designer to join our creative team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing innovative and visually compelling assets across a wide range of digital platforms, including Emailers, digital banners, e-brochures, social media, and more. You will collaborate with senior designers, art directors, and other team members to create designs that engage and inspire our clients' audiences.As a mid-level designer, you’ll use your craft, design sensibilities and your proficiency in deign tools to bring ideas to life, solve design challenges, and develop high-quality design solutions while maintaining brand consistency. You’ll work on a variety of projects with the opportunity to take ownership of design concepts from start to finish, ensuring they are both on-brand and on-brief.
Responsibilities
- Concept Development: Work closely with senior designers, creative directors, and other stakeholders to develop and execute design concepts for a variety of projects, including digital content and social media campaigns.
- Design Execution: Create visually compelling design assets, including layouts, typography, branding, illustrations, and imagery, for various mediums.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure all designs are consistent with client brand guidelines, voice, and visual identity. Adapt designs to fit different platforms and media.
- Client Collaboration: Participate in client meetings and presentations, translating feedback and direction into actionable design solutions.
- File Preparation: Prepare final design files for production, ensuring they are optimized for various platforms (web, social media, email campaigns, brochures, posters, etc.).
- Design Reviews: Collaborate with senior design team members to review and refine design work, taking constructive feedback to improve your designs and skillset.
- Trends & Innovation: Stay up to date with design trends, software tools, and industry innovations, and apply this knowledge to create fresh and impactful designs.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with other departments, including marketing, content, and production, to ensure designs align with broader campaign strategies and goals.
- Project Management: Manage your time and workflow efficiently, juggling multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and ensuring quality work.
- Problem-Solving: Address design challenges and troubleshoot issues related to layout, composition, colour, or client requests, offering creative solutions where needed.
What You Will Bring
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a designer, preferably within an agency environment
or a creative studio, with a strong portfolio that showcases a variety of design work.
- Design Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), as well
as familiarity with web design tools like Sketch, Figma, or XD.
- Creative Problem-Solving: Ability to approach design challenges creatively while maintaining
attention to detail and adhering to client briefs and brand guidelines.
- Collaborative Mindset: Comfortable working as part of a team, sharing ideas, and integrating
feedback while taking initiative and ownership of projects.
- Communication: Strong communication skills, both verbal and visual, to effectively present
and discuss design ideas with clients and colleagues.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and work under pressure in
a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of Current Trends: A keen understanding of current design trends, digital
platforms, and technologies.
- Understanding of Print & Digital: Knowledge of design principles for both digital and print
media, including responsive design, colour management, typography, and layout will be an
added advantage.
- Bonus Skills: Experience with motion graphics (After Effects, Premiere Pro), basic HTML/CSS
knowledge, or UI/UX design is a plus.
